I Wish A Vegan Would: Mary J. Brings It for Apple!

Mary J. Blige (and about a zillion other folks) braved the blistering NYC cold to attend the opening of the new Apple Store down in Chelsea Manhattan. We hear they were giving away everything...from Macbooks to Nanos! I swear to be fab, I stay missing the goodness!

Green House Effect: Benjamin Moore Eco-Friendly Paint

So today I decided that I would get ready for the holidays by sprucing up my eco-castle with a fresh coat of paint (you'd be amazed how a fresh coat of paint could change the entire look of a 200 X 400 square foot apartment.) So I head out to my neighborhood hardware store and 'lo and behold I see an advertisement for Benjamin Moore Eco Spec Enamel. Now, I don't know about everyone else, but when I see an eco-version of something that I'd planned on purchasing my heart skips a beat...seriously!

This new line of eco-friendly paint bases are low odor, low VOC, and 100% acrylic latex enamels. These latex interior paints, are available in either white or eggshell semi-gloss and flat finishes or they can be custom blended with Benjamin Moore's Color Preview Pastel and Medium Base.

Movies Rock with Beyonce, Mary J. and Jennifer Hudson

The stars definitely came out in Hollywood for Monday's first ever Movies Rock event presented by Conde Nast Media Group. Green was the new black with both Beyonce and Mary J. Blige rocking emerald-inspired numbers. Ms. Regina King looked absolutely flawless and J-Lo gave glowing, yet sexy mommy-to-be drama. New daddy "Ursher" came out to celebrate and Ms. Sex in the City herself, Jennifer Hudson, stopped by looking rather fab! Check out the Movies Rock event this Friday on CBS.

The Haps: Angie Mar's Hair Spectacular!

Bronner Brother's move over, there's a new hair show in town! Ok, that might be a stretch, but from our understanding The Angie Martinez Hair Show and Beauty Expo, in NYC was the place to be yesterday! I didn't get a chance to make it over to the jam-packed Hammerstein Ballroom, but it looks like everyone enjoyed themselves. Besides the star-studded performances by everyone from Trey Songz (Is it me or is Trey looking extra yummy in his I Can't Help But Wait video) to Mr. "Shawty is a 10" himself, The Dream, there were fashion panels, make-overs provided by Cover Girl's Queen Collection and much more.

A gang of celebs came out to christen Ms. Martinez's new venture including fellow Hot97 co-horts Miss Info and Ebro (Miss Info...I'm going to need you to ease up off my man), o.g. Get 'Em Girl's Missy Elliott and Pepa, Toccara (sans make-up, and she's still a Get 'Em Girl) and Lil' Mama. Next time, I'll be easy on the turducken...so I can be in attendance...just in case Ebro happens to be in the building *sigh*.

In our prayers...

The Get 'Em Girl's would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Dr.Donda West. A month ago we were honored to meet Dr. Donda West at the NABFEME Summit in Charlotte, NC. Thanks to Sheila Jenkins and Johnnie Walker we were able to give her a copy of the Get 'Em Girl's Guide at the Celebrity Mother's Luncheon. Dr. West was very gracious and offered words of encouragement for our project. Kanye has always spoke about how supportive and instrumental his mother was in his career and Deidre, Jennifer and Sandra (OUR MOMMA's) have definitely been supportive in our careers. If we don't say it enough. WE LOVE YOU!

Dr. West you will not be forgotten
